Pups are ready to go at 7 weeks during which they are
vet checked twice, de-wormed, have tails docked, dew claws removed, hearts and eyes checked and first puppy shots given. They are also sent to their new homes with a Purina One puppy starter kit.
We
keep our puppy parents fully informed when
new pups arrive. Weekly pictures and information are posted so new parents
can keep up with the growth and development of their puppy during those
first few weeks. A $100 deposit is required to secure a spot on our waiting list.
This assures us that your puppy shopping is over, and you have decided to
purchase one from us. This deposit is non-refundable UNLESS we are not able to
provide a pup from the specified litter. Then we will refund your deposit or
transfer it to the next litter.
As
of the summer of 2006, the Boykin Spaniel Society is offering a Limited
Registration that we will be taking advantage of with select pups. Pups will
still be registered with the BSS, but it will be limited registration which
can be
changed to full registration by us after the pup turns two years old and has
obtained OFA health certifications. This is strictly to protect our pups, our
bloodlines and the Boykin Spaniel in general.
One more thing
to know about us...we are committed to raising Boykins from strong hunting
bloodlines with nice temperments. When searching for that perfect puppy, keep in
mind that titles don't determine quality....MANY Boykin Spaniels are capable of
achieving hunter retriever titles but have owners who do not have the interest,
time or money to do so. High prices over $1000 don't determine
quality either. Proven bloodlines, health clearances and nurturing determine the
quality of your puppy. Buy a puppy from a breeder who raises Boykins with those
criteria, train and care for him/her with love and you will have the
quality Boykin Spaniel you've been searching for. With more and more pups
available "now", please choose wisely...even if it means waiting. The best start
a pup can have is care and socialization. You can tell from our pictures that a
Cache River puppy will have the best start you will find in a Boykin pup.
