Rue is the first pup we have raised from one of our own breedings...we knew she was special, being the first in the litter to do everything. She has a very tenacious spirit, an extreme retrieve drive and intense focus. She lives inside with us...once inside, she's a very lovable, comical companion. She's the perfect lap dog...UNTIL someone gets the dummy or toys out...or says the word "outside". Then she kicks into high gear. Boykin owners can understand that! When outside, we can't keep her out of the pool or the pastures...she'll retrieve anything that makes a "splash" and is in constant pursuit of any bird or critter that crosses her path. Once inside, her favorite spot is under all the pillows on the couch...next to one of us of course.

 

Turkey hunting at Twin Bridges in MO...Rue's not a turkey hunter (illegal there anyway), so she just stayed at the camp site with us.
